Warranty Coverage
Clear protection, backed by craftsmanshipFeneco warranties are designed to protect your investment with straightforward coverage that reflects the quality of our materials and manufacturing standards. Below is an overview of coverage details, durations, and applicable conditions.
1-Year Parts & Labour Warranty
Coverage for manufacturing defects and material deficiencies
All Feneco products include a one (1) year warranty starting from the date on your purchase order. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and material deficiencies under normal use. After the first year, labour (manpower) is at the client’s expense.
Sealed Units — Labour Coverage (First Year)
Labour covered for one year, with specific exceptions
Feneco provides a one (1) year guarantee on sold products starting from the date noted on the purchase order. In the event of thermal breakage or condensation within sealed units during the first year (measured from the manufacturing date of the thermos), labour costs remain the responsibility of the client. We recommend consulting your insurance provider to confirm protection against thermal breakage and accidents.
Hardware Warranty
Long-term coverage for normal defects
Hardware is guaranteed against normal defects for twenty (20) years starting from the date on the purchase order. After the first year, labour (manpower) related to hardware service or replacement is at the client’s expense.
Door Warranty
Parts and key components covered in the first year
Feneco doors include one (1) year of coverage on parts, as well as labour coverage for hinge components and weather-stripping. Surface or visual imperfections may be considered acceptable depending on Canadian industry standards. Manufacturing defects that do not meet admissibility standards may not qualify for free replacement. If an issue is deemed admissible according to Canadian industry norms, product replacement may be completed at the client’s expense. Due to the characteristics of the glass used, some visible but acceptable imperfections may be present.
Sealed Units Warranty (Thermos Units)
15-year protection against internal condensation and deposits
Sealed units are guaranteed for fifteen (15) years from the manufacturing date of the thermos against film formation or dust deposits. They are also covered against internal surface condensation caused by a lack of gasket sealing that obstructs visibility, as outlined by Canadian norms for floated glass and the construction code. For energy-efficient (LOW-E) glass, this warranty also applies for fifteen (15) years from the thermos manufacturing date. This warranty does not apply to glass breakage caused by external factors or accidents.
Thermos Warranty
10–15 years depending on supplier
Thermos are guaranteed for ten (10) or fifteen (15) years depending on the selected supplier. If a thermos is replaced during the warranty period, the replacement does not restart or extend the original coverage period. For example, a thermos with a ten (10) year warranty that is replaced after eight (8) years remains covered for the remaining two (2) years.
PVC Warranty
20-year coverage on PVC frames under normal use
The PVC used in the manufacturing of swing, sliding, or lifting windows is guaranteed for twenty (20) years from the date on the purchase order. This warranty covers material defects and manufacturing issues under normal use and maintenance. After one (1) year, labour (manpower) is at the client’s expense.
Limitations & Exemptions
Important conditions that apply after the first year
After one (1) year from the date on the purchase order, Feneco’s liability is limited to the value of the door and window products only, excluding transportation, installation, and/or labour costs. Warranty coverage is automatically terminated if Canadian construction norms and applicable building code requirements are not respected during installation. This also applies to breakage or deterioration resulting from neglect, misuse, or accidents.
